Ipswich
Suffolk’s County Town combines history and heritage with a vibrant, diverse economy and a dynamic enterprise culture. Major industry sectors represented in the town include communications, financial services, IT and freight handling. It’s also conveniently close to London and East Anglia’s two major cities, Norwich and Cambridge.
Set on one of the region’s major waterways, the River Orwell, Ipswich has time-honoured maritime connections. A major regeneration project has transformed the town’s historic waterfront into a lively community hub with cafés, restaurants and independent retail outlets.
In the 2011 Census Ipswich was listed as the fourth largest urban area in the East of England, with a population of just over 133,000. The local workforce has a strong skills base and there’s a high concentration of affluent consumers who live within a short drive time of the town.
Transport connections are excellent. The nearby A12 and A14 trunk roads provide easy access to the wider UK motorway network and Stansted Airport is just over an hour away. Regular services run from Ipswich Railway Station direct to London Liverpool Street, Norwich and Cambridge.

Abi Dawson-Smith
Office and Estate Manager
I’ve been at Masterlord Estates since 2017.
I started off here as an operations supervisor and receptionist, now I’m responsible for the management of Epsilon House and The Office Village.
Coming from a hospitality background I knew I always wanted to work in a customer facing environment, working here is great as you get to meet a variety of different people all the time and everyday is different.
Out of the office I like to travel as much as possible, mainly with lots of weekends away to places. I even flew to India for a long weekend – in rainy season.

I am the new Office Administrator here at Masterlord estates. I grew up in Ipswich and have lived here my whole life.
Outside of work you can find me either dancing/teaching or curled up on the sofa with a good book.

I’m a friendly sociable person and enjoy meeting people! That’s why working as a Receptionist at Epsilon House is perfect for me. I’ve lived in Suffolk all my life and I’m very passionate about the local area. Since joining Masterlord Estates I’ve also found there to be a very vibrant, thriving and friendly local business community.
In my spare time I enjoy helping behind the scenes with the Co-op Juniors Theatre Company in Ipswich and being a roadie for two of my children who are professional musicians. I’m passionate about the theatre and my ideal day out is a trip to the West-End!
